Over the weekend we set out for St. Louis to visit my grandmother. My sister also drove with her kids from Texas to met us there. This is why we moved from NYC! While I may not get to see family as much as I'd like, I cherish that moments like this are now only a short drive away:

Baby J gets a lick of the same necklace I used to chew on at her age. I wish I got to see my grandmother more, as she was pretty important to me as a kid. I spent weeks with her for several summers in a row.She definitely instilled in me an appreciation for gardening and cooking well. She's really a great lady and almost 90 now! Wow.
It's not a family photo with cousins unless someone gets bunny ears.

Back to the hotel for some swimming! I'm not sure if my nieces or me were more excited. Probably me.
